The team at Medmastery are providing LITFL readers with a series of FOAMed courses from across their website.

Over the next few weeks, we will be posting videos from the Pacemaker Essentials Course. Learn how to recognize failure to sense, its causes and how it is resolved (increasing sensitivity or lead re-site).

  1. I’m a new nurse and I just started a new job at an outpatient surgery center. The anesthesiologist keeps telling me I’m placing the 3 lead ecg pads in the incorrect places, especially the bottom one. Where exactly is that one supposed to go? She said don’t put it on the abdomen and put it near a bone. Thank you for your help!
