Robert Bruce Salter
Robert Bruce Salter (1924 – 2010) was a Canadian surgeon.
Eponymously associated with the Salter-Harris Classification along with W. Robert Harris. Published the Salter-Harris Classification of fractures for epiphyseal injuries in 1963

- Born 15th of December, 1924 in Stratford, Ontario, Canada
- 1947 – Graduated University of Toronto
- 1954 – Fellowship at the London Hospital
- 1955 – Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and later Professor of Surgery, Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon Emeritus and Senior Scientist Emeritus at the Toronto Research Institute
- 1955 – Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, later becoming President
- 1977 – Officer of the Order of Canada
- 1988 – Order of Ontario
- 1995 – Canadian Medical Association Hall of Fame
- 1997 – Companion of the Order of Canada
- 2010 – Retired after a career spanning 55 years
- Died on 10th of May, 2010 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
