1940Maude Elizabeth Seymour Abbott (1869-1940), Canadian physician; described Rokitansky-Maude Abbott syndrome (1924)

1974William Thomas Lemmon (1896-1974), American surgeon; developed and performed continuous spinal anaesthesia (1939) and the Lemmon mattress
