1879 – Eli Moschcowitz (1879-1964), Hungarian born, American pathologist and physician. Described Moschcowitz syndrome [Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP)] in 1924, Moschcowitz triad (1933), Moschcowitz sign (1933), and was a forerunner in the development of psychosomatic medicine
1910 – Robert Symon Garden (1910-1982), Scottish Orthopaedic surgeon; described Garden classification of hip fractures (1961) and designed the Garden Cannulated Screw
1924 – Javier Arias-Stella (1924-2020), Peruvian pathologist; described Arias Stella Reaction (1954)
