1755Caleb Hillier Parry (1755-1822), English physician; provided early descriptions for Parry Disease (Graves disease), Progressive Hemifacial Atrophy (Parry-Romberg syndrome), and Hirschprung disease in his 1825 posthumously published works

1869Pierre Adolph Grisel (1869-1959), French paediatric ENT surgeon; described Grisel syndrome (1930)


Deaths

1814Gaspard Vieusseux (1746-1814), Swiss physician; described Vieusseux–Wallenberg Syndrome (1807) and the first recognition of epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis in Europe (1805)

1862Sir Benjamin Collins Brodie (1783-1862), English surgeon; described the Brodie–Trendelenburg Test (1846), Brodie’s Abscess (1832), and Brodie’s Knee (1813)
