50 year old male presents confused and hypoxaemic.
Describe and interpret this CXR
CHEST X-RAY INTERPRETATION
There is complete collapse of the right lung with tracheal deviation and mediastinal shift
CLINICAL CORRELATION
This is most likely caused by an obstructing endobronchial lesion such as a tumour or sputum plugging
CLINICAL PEARLS
Next steps in investigation would be a contrast CT chest and bronchoscopy.
