77 year old male presents with central chest pain.
Describe and interpret this CXR
CHEST X-RAY INTERPRETATION
The lung parenchyma are clear.
There are prominent anterior domes of the hemidiaphragms, most notable on the left.
There are mid-line sternotomy wires and a mitral valve replacement (MVR).
CLINICAL CORRELATION
He has had a mitral valve replacement.
Given his presenting complaint, it would be important to know if he has had CABG as well.
CLINICAL PEARLS
Examine the legs for evidence of harvesting the long saphenous veins for grafting.
