1867 – Luís Morquio (1867-1935), Uruguayan paediatrician; described Morquio syndrome (1929)
1869 – Frederic Jay Cotton (1869-1939), American Orthopedic Surgeon; described the Cotton fracture (1915), Cotton grip (1910), and Cotton-Loder position
1907 – Jerome W. Conn (1907-1994), American endocrinologist; described Conn Syndrome (Primary Hyperaldosteronism) 1955, and helped define the Renin–Aldosterone Axis
1988 – André Frédéric Cournand (1895-1988), French physician. Awarded the 1956 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine along with Werner Forssmann and Dickinson W. Richards for their “discoveries concerning heart catheterization and pathological changes in the circulatory system.”
