Rob is an Adult/Paediatric Emergency Medicine Advanced Trainee currently based at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. He has special interests in medical education, ECG interpretation, and the use of diagnostic and procedural ultrasound in the undifferentiated patient.
He has completed post-graduate training in critical care echocardiography, abdominal and DVT ultrasound, and is currently undertaking a Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) in Emergency Medicine. He sits on the ACEM Ultrasound Committee and is currently involved in developing an education programme for the new training pathway beginning 2022.
He is a Teaching Associate for Monash University and lectures the ECG curriculum for the MICA post-graduate paramedicine programme. He has a passion for bridging the gap between emergency and pre-hospital education, in particular in the realms of ultrasound and ECG interpretation.
He was a member of the 2021 ANZCEN Clinician Educator Incubator programme, a 12-month international interfaculty program aimed at developing skills as a clinician educator.
