Toyota Land Cruiser LC004 watch

LC004 is the third confirmed model in the Toyota Land Cruiser watch series from the 1990s. It marks a significant change from the simpler analogue LC001 and LC003, combining conventional analogue hands with twin LCD displays in a substantial 40.6 mm sports case with a unidirectional rotating bezel.

The watch is powered by a Miyota T240 analogue-digital quartz movement, providing chronograph, alarm and dual-time functions. The Land Cruiser illustration returns on the caseback, with the embossed vehicle illustration. The integrated stainless-steel bracelet has a signed LAND CRUISER clasp.

Two variants have so far been identified. The 7113 LC004-01 with blue dial and 7114 LC004-02 with black dial. Surviving examples are uncommon, with relatively few watches or period references identified to date.

The LC004 uses a screw-fit stainless-steel caseback carrying the LC004 model designation and Land Cruiser vehicle illustration. Examples are not individually numbered and no limited-edition inscription has been identified.

The caseback is marked WATER RESISTANT and Japan made.

Original packaging

Surviving LC004 sets have been found with a Land Cruiser-branded presentation box, warranty documentation, Maruman instruction manual and model-specific hang tag.

The original labels are valuable in reconstructing the series. They associate the blue LC004-01 variants with the sequential product code 7113, with JAN/EAN numbers (4902907571132). The black variant is most probably 7114 LC004-02.
