Toyota Land Cruiser LC007 watch

LC007 is a confirmed model in the 1990s Toyota Land Cruiser watch series and represents another substantial change in design. It is an analogue quartz field watch combining conventional timekeeping and date with a central 24-hour hand and a prominent compass-style bezel.

The watch is powered by a Time Module Inc. (TMI) VX39 quartz movement, with a yellow central 24-hour hand read against the inner 24-hour scale. LAND CRUISER branding appears on both the dial and lower bezel, while the stainless-steel caseback carries the Land Cruiser vehicle illustration.

Black and green dial variants have been identified. Unlike several other models in the series, however, no original LC007 packaging or product label has yet been located. The corresponding product codes and variant suffixes therefore remain unconfirmed.

Movement

The LC007 is powered by a Time Module Inc. (TMI) VX39 Japanese quartz movement. The movement is identified directly on the movement plate as TMI / TIME MODULE INC. / JAPAN / VX39.

The VX39 provides conventional hours, minutes and seconds, date at 3 o’clock and a central 24-hour indication. In the LC007, the latter is displayed by the distinctive yellow hand against a 24-hour scale printed around the centre of the dial.

Case and compass bezel

The LC007 has a stainless-steel case measuring approximately 38 mm in diameter, 44 mm lug-to-lug and 11 mm thick, with conventional 20 mm lugs.

A broad compass-style bezel dominates the design, marked with the cardinal directions and degree graduations. LAND CRUISER is engraved prominently across its lower section. The dial continues the navigational theme with an inner 24-hour scale and contrasting yellow 24-hour hand.

Strap

Surviving LC007 examples are fitted with a black rubber/resin strap rather than the stainless-steel bracelets used on many other watches in the series. The strap on the present example appears consistent with those visible on other documented LC007 watches, suggesting that this was the original configuration.

Caseback

The LC007 uses a press-fit stainless-steel caseback engraved with a Land Cruiser vehicle illustration, LAND CRUISER logo and LC007 model designation.

The caseback is additionally marked STAINLESS STEEL / WATER RESISTANT 10 BAR / JAPAN MADE. No individual production number or xxxx/1000 limited-edition sequence is present.
